Probably one of the biggest mistakes of his life, Dropping Lady Gaga, because L.A Reid was having a bad day. Yup that’s right. L.A Reid dropped Multiplatinum award winning artist Lady Gaga because someone pissed in his coffee.

This happens in the industry pretty often, but usually with staff. A CEO or President will be having a bad day and just decide to fire or drop someone to make them feel better. Wait. That actually happened to me. But anyway though. This is what L.A Reid had to say about dropping Lady Gaga.

One day this artist came to my office. She played piano and she had on white go-go boots and she played and she sang. When she was done I said, ‘You are an amazing artist and you will change music’.

“I signed her and her name was Lady Gaga. Then a few months later I got her demos and it was a working progress and I was having a bad day. I’m telling you, I was having a bad day.

“And you know what? I was like, ‘I really don’t like it, let her go and find her career’. It was the worst thing I’ve ever done.”
